Fire Pit Steel Insert

Enjoy a reduced-smoke, wood burning fire pit that is suitable to insert into our range of fire pits or alternatively used as a stand-alone fire pit. The double wall construction with bottom vent holes for oxygen creates an internal airflow circulation system. This cutting edge “afterburn” technology injects air into the top of the fire creating a reduced-smoke burn.
Please note: The Fire Pit Insert will change in colour once exposed to heat.

Coping pieces: They have a natural top, with a sawn bottom and sides, and the face is chiselled.

Please note: the fire pit should be either lined with steel or rendered with fireproof cement before use. Internally, the fire cannot go right up to the stone and it is advised that either a Steel Insert is put around the inside of the pit with the correct amount of air space between the edge of the steel and the stone, fire bricks used in the centre to control the heat or line with a fire retardant mortar to protect the stone. Using a layer of sand and gravel at the bottom of the pit is also recommended.
