Talasey's 24 steps for growth in '24

Company Updates

An Insight into Talasey's strategy for 2024

Talasey – one of the UK’s leading independent suppliers of landscaping solutions – believes that the 24 things it put in place during 2023 will be a “gear change” for the business and will give it the strongest possible platform for growth this year.

The Scunthorpe-based company has made a sizable investment to introduce a combination of new people, new resources and new products, which are all coming together to form the vanguard of a drive to elevate the business, add an extra layer of support for its customers, and increase its overall market share.

Throughout 2023

Over the course of '23, Talasey increased its overall 90 plus-strong team with the introduction of 11 new people by creating a new, dedicated Merchant Support Manager (MSM) team, bolstering its marketing department and adding an additional Area Sales Manager.

The company put seven new vehicles on the road, with six vehicles for the regional MSM team, so they can visit merchants and stockists across the UK – as well as a second Talasey on Tour van that is used as a mobile showroom at events such as builders’ merchant trade days.

It introduced six new products, including two new porcelain ranges; Cava Quartz (which has three colours: Lustre, Lucenta, Lucio) and Bellezza Lite (which also has three colours: Fino, Lago, Riva).

Speaking about the introduction of all the new members of the team, resources and products, Marketing Director Rebecca Hughes said that the ambitious company is setting its sights on significant growth this year.

“Our move to the four-acre site at St. Vincent House in Scunthorpe a couple of years ago has given us the solid foundation from which to grow and develop the business – in no small part because we have the space to accommodate a growing team,” said Rebecca.
“As we approach our 20th anniversary, the Senior Leadership Team has overseen the implementation of a strategy that is another positive gear change for Talasey. It’s one that will enable us to kick-start 2024 full of confidence knowing that we have a growing team of the right committed people, offering the right level of support and service to our merchants and stockists and, of course, the right mix of landscaping products.”

Rebecca added that the Talasey team pinpointed that the pathway to strong and sustainable growth is getting even closer to more customers.

“We’re starting 2024 in a very strong position because of the things we have implemented throughout 2023 – which are all focused on the central theme of getting even better at supporting merchants and stockists,” said Rebecca.
“Talasey is an exciting place to be right now, as there’s so much to look forward to as we begin 2024.”

As Talasey heads into the New Year, they are bringing in more new products and continue to expand on their internal, external and customer care teams, with a new recruitment push that was launched just before Christmas.

A big part of the company’s 20th year celebrations began in November last year, with the announcement and implementation of their updated company logo that was showcased at the Builders Merchants Awards. Take a look at the reveal below.
