Strong and consistent sales growth over the last few years meant that we outgrew our former site near Doncaster, and so we moved to the new 4-acre site at St Vincent House on Normanby Road in Scunthorpe.
The site is an ideal location – not only because it can easily accommodate our increasing headcount but also because it can support our ambitions in making the site a UK centre of excellence for the landscaping industry.
We have put our customers, suppliers and visitors first in terms of all the facilities that the new site has to offer.
As well as having plenty of workspace for our team, St Vincent House also has conference facilities – including a room that can comfortably seat more than 70 people, entertaining spaces and even nine en-suite rooms for visitors staying overnight.
The site also comprises of around 1.5 acres of mature landscaped gardens that showcase our wide portfolio of landscaping products.
Speaking about the move, CEO Mark Wall said that the new site is the ideal location to enable us to go to the next level of growth as St Vincent House offers amazing facilities that are designed to make a visit a memorable experience.
“We have very fond memories of the site in Doncaster because that’s where our business – which started as Natural Paving Products (UK) Ltd and evolved into Talasey Group – became established as a leading UK supplier of quality, ethically sourced natural stone landscaping products.”
“As part of our move to the new site, we had a vision that St Vincent House would be an amazing space that all of our customers can use for business meetings, training and development - or even to send their customers to us to look around the display areas. I’m very proud that everyone at the Talasey Group feels that we have achieved that."
Talasey Group was founded on being an ethical and responsible importer of materials and has a product range with five core brands: Natural Paving (natural stone landscaping materials), Vitripiazza (porcelain, paving and cladding), Pavetuf (installation and maintenance products), Luxigraze (artificial grass and accessories) and Piranha (composite decking, fencing and cladding).
“The business has grown significantly, and we needed a site that could not only accommodate the next stage of our development but also be somewhere where we could realise wider ambitions – both for our business and for making a positive contribution to our industry."
We continue to play a key role in driving up standards, skills and knowledge in the landscaping industry with initiatives including our Talasey Training Academy (TTA).
Work is well underway to complete our new training facilities so that we can resume running accredited landscaping courses for a wide range of industry professionals, including students, installers, designers, landscape architects and builders merchants. This is delivered through both classroom-based training and practical training.
Mr Wall added that the site will be the platform for the company to realise its ambitions because it will be at the heart of building a better culture at Talasey Group.
“We are in an inspiring rural location with lots of space, which will bring so many benefits for our team, suppliers and customers. Everyone comments on the tranquillity – and how this has a positive influence on the general well-being of people on site. More practically, we have so much more space to have expansive display areas to fully showcase our products to their full and stunning effect.
"Most crucially, we feel that we now have the potential to become a leading industry destination and experience centre that customers and suppliers are happy to travel to – as we continue to drive forward as one of the UK’s leading independent suppliers of landscaping solutions."
