Talasey Boosts Support for Merchant Customers

As part of our dedication to the large amount of merchant customers we supply, the new role of Merchant Support Manager was created earlier this year, with the newly formed team now consisting of six members!

The team will cover the UK in strikingly visible livered vehicles, with the aim of calling on more merchants, more often.

The Merchant Support Managers (MSMs) will ensure that all the point of sale for each merchant’s display of our product ranges are up to date and in tip-top condition, affording each merchant the best opportunity to showcase all Talasey products to their trade customers, landscapers, contractors and members of the public.

The role of our Merchant Support Managers

Each MSM will also be on hand to deliver any localised basic product training that a merchant may feel their team needs. If a greater level of training is required then the MSM can signpost courses on at our Training Academy located at St Vincent House in Scunthorpe.

If the merchants would like support in engaging their customer base, then the MSMs can also attend merchant-own trade days, or arrange for the Talasey on Tour Van and team to take the lead at a merchant event.

Technical and Training Manager - Lavinia Dowson - said that Talasey has seen an opportunity to get closer to its customers and enhance our existing support.

“We already have a team of Area Sales Managers who are very proactive visiting our merchants and being their first point of contact - but as our business continues to grow, we have spotted a gap to introduce an additional layer of support,” said Dowson.
“The closer we get to our merchants, and the more support we can provide to them to assist in their own sales, the better the win-win, as both businesses will benefit from increased sales."
“Because of their visibility, MSMs will become a key contact for merchants alongside our team of Areas Sales Managers. And of course our head office support teams are also on hand to offer different areas of expertise and merchant support too.”

The introduction of the new MSM team comes hot on the heels of the recent appointment of a trio of appointments to our senior management – including a Director of Strategy & Proposition, Marketing Director and National Sales Manager.
