Natural Paving Products Celebrates a Decade of Success

Celebrating our 10-year anniversary this year, Natural Paving Products (NPP) has enjoyed its most successful year to date: with a growth in sales; launch of Pavetuf; expansion of our Indian supply chain and; a string of medal wins during the show garden season.
Since NPP was founded a decade ago, as a company we have firmly established ourselves as the leading independent supplier of natural stone landscaping materials in the UK, and we are now the largest independent importer of Indian sandstone into the UK market.

This has been achieved through a clear and unwavering commitment to high-quality products, produced in an ethical and responsible manner, as well as the strong relationships we have forged over many years with our merchant partners. As a key importer of Indian stone, we have invested heavily in our own quarries – meaning that we are the only supplier able to offer a truly end-to-end service, with complete assurances of both quality and ethical supply processes. This year, we have also heavily invested in two factory facilities close to the quarries, which will enable us to offer an even wider range of the sawn and bespoke stone products that are becoming increasingly popular within the UK market.
What’s more, the new centrally located factories will greatly reduce the amount of waste material that is generated and will slash the carbon emissions associated with transporting the stone, thus minimising our environmental impact.
Closer to home, we have cemented our route to market, by formalising our Merchant Only Policy this year. From the beginning, NPP has sold products exclusively through our network of merchant partners and now, by setting this policy in writing, we hope to make a clear commitment to supporting and protecting this mutually beneficial dynamic long into the future.
Further successes in 2014 include a bumper trove of medal wins during the summer show garden season, with a gold award at the RHS Chelsea Show for Reach Out by John Everiss, a striking pieces that uses our Midnight Blue Limestone as an integral feature of the garden’s structure.
Other wins include: a silver guilt medal at BBC Gardeners’ World Live, for Down the Garden by multi-award winning garden designer, John Cavill, 15 year-old Harry Ward and Dean Brown of Decol Construction; silver at RHS Hampton Court for Bacchus, by Wardrop Designs and RDC Landscapes; and two large gold awards, the challenge trophy and a silver guilt medal for Muddy Boots, Ian McElhone and Bella Vista (respectively) at the Southport Flower Show.
